The information below pertains to Te Rau Wānanga Scholarship being offered in 2026

  • Available: Minimum of 30 awardees
  • Value: This scholarship will contribute towards tuition fees and other course related costs.
  • Purpose of Award: The purpose of this scholarship is to support tauira studying the following clinical health programmes at Te Whare Wānanga o Awanuiārangi:    Postgraduate Diploma in Applied Mental Health and Addiction Counselling (Level 8) or Te Ōhanga Mataora: Bachelor of Health Sciences Māori Nursing
  • Eligibility: Applicants for the scholarship must be enrolled or plan to enrol in the above programmes with a commitment to contributing to Māori Health.

Criteria: Recipients will be selected on the following criteria:

  • • Must be enrolled or plan to enrol in the above programmes at Te Whare Wānanga o Awanuiārangi;
    • Demonstrate a commitment to Māori health;
    • Whakapapa Māori;
    • Participate in Te Rau Wānanga support activities

Submission of Scholarship Application: Application form must be submitted online through Te Whare Wānanga o Awanuiārangi website by 4.30 pm, Friday 20th March 2026.
