COVID-19 Update Friday 5 March
Subject: COVID-19 Alert Level update
The Auckland Region will move to Alert Level 2 from 6am on Sunday 7 March, and the rest of Aotearoa will move to Alert Level 1 at the same time. The Alert Levels will be reviewed by Cabinet at the end of next week and a further update will be provided to kaimahi and tauira then.
This means that our Tāmaki Campus will re-open from Monday 8 March for kaimahi and tauira only. Alert Level 2 protocols must be adhered to, including signing in, ensuring physical distancing of 2 metres, and regularly wiping down your work surfaces. Whānau or external visitors are not allowed on site. You can read about these here. Please check with your kaiako if you have any pātai regarding these.
Our approach for these new Alert Levels is as outlined on our FAQ page here. Select the Alert Level which applies to you.
At any Alert Level, kaiako will get in contact with their tauira to confirm programme delivery arrangements for their individual programmes, as needed. If programmes need to be postponed for any reason, kaiako will keep tauira informed.
Noho that have already been advised to be held online will continue to be held online, as previously communicated. Some marae-based programmes may still choose to continue with online delivery. Timetabling for these will be communicated to tauira by kaiako and/or marae coordinators as needed.
Regardless of the Alert Level, everyone needs to follow the correct healthy and safety protocols and physical distancing requirements:
- Always sign-in on campus, including using the NZ COVID Tracer app.
- Stay home if you’re sick.
- Practice safe hygiene and physical distancing (2 metres at Alert Level 2, and 1 metre at Alert Level 1).
Further updates will continue to be communicated as needed. Continue to check your emails and follow the Awanuiārangi website and Facebook page for all our updates. Email us at ssc@wananga.ac.nz for any pātai you have.
Thank you for your continued support, stay safe whānau.
