I am currently the Level 5 Iwi Radio Diploma Lecturer, born and bred in the metropolis of Tūrangi.

I have five kids; two of my oldest live in Perth, one in Palmerston North, and I live with my wife and two youngest children. Before working with Awanuiārangi, I spent 25 years as a Senior Broadcaster and Production Director at Tūwharetoa FM.

I have also been teaching and playing music since the age of 16, and I continue to teach music at our local kura kaupapa Māori school in Taupō.

Three years ago, my wife and I took the step of creating an organisation called He Oro Taiohi, which focuses on rangatahi who are disenfranchised by the school system and provides them with an outlet for their creative passions, whether through music or visual arts. Through this, we aim to introduce and expose them to mentors within the industry.
