Mai Ngā Kuri a Whārei ki Tihirau - Mataatua Tāwharautia!
Secondary school kapa haka from all corners of Mataatua me Tākitimu waka ki Tauranga rohe will come together to deliver performances in the hopes to qualify and represent the region at the national secondary school kapa haka competition to be held in 2026.
The biennial event is this year hosted by Ngā Kikini o Te Rehutai - the Tauranga Māori Teachers' Association.
Te Whare Wānanga o Awanuiārangi are proud to be a Gold tier sponsor of the event and wish all the kura participating the best of luck for their performances.
Our Awanuiārangi team will be at the event with a promotional stall. We welcome everyone to come and visit us and found out more about our programmes on offer for semester 2 and for 2026! Nau mai, haere mai.
