Entry to Te Aho Pūtaiao: Bachelor of Environmental Studies is open to applicants who meet the following requirements:
Tauira wishing to enrol in Te Aho Pūtaiao: Bachelor of Environmental Studies (Level 7), must provide evidence of their ability to successfully pursue and complete a bachelor’s degree.
Applicants must meet set entry criteria. These are minimum requirements an applicant must meet to gain entry into a programme including processes for exceptions where applicants do not meet the general entry requirements.
Entry criteria are as follows:
- NCEA Level 3: as defined by NZQA at the time of enrolment,
- OR
Successful completion of an approved Level 4 or higher programme from the New Zealand Qualifications framework in Taiao or related subject, - OR
Special Admission (AES) maybe be granted, where a tauira is 20 years of age and over; and can show sufficient evidence of experience, or knowledge to successfully undertake the programme of study in Taiao. This will be evidenced by the submission of a portfolio of evidence and sitting a pre-entry assessment. - Applicants who have graduated with Te Aka Pūtaiao (Kaupae 5) shall gain entry into the degree programme with Credit Transfer of four papers. TAI571, TAI572, TAI573 and TAI574 (Semester One kōwae ako.) Students who have completed some kōwae ako in Te Aka Pūtaiao, but not all will, be considered on a case-by-case basis.
