Before enrolling in the degree programme, a tauira must:
(a) be at least 17 years of age at the commencement of the programme; and
(b) have completed National Certificate in Educational Achievement (NCEA) Level 3, or
(c) have graduated from an NZQA approved Level 4 certificate or above: or
(d) be granted Special Admission, where a tauira is over the age of 20 years at the commencement of the programme; and,
- can provide sufficient evidence of work experience, skill, education, background knowledge, commitment and support to successfully undertake the programme of study; and,
- provide a portfolio of evidence to support their application.
Note: Special admission applicants may be required to successfully complete a bridging or tertiary introductory programme as a condition of entry into higher level programmes.
(e) Demonstrate literacy and numeracy capability to enable them to participate in the degree.
(f) Demonstrate a working knowledge and have adequate skills needed to operate software products such as operating systems and software applications, or show a willingness to learn these skills.
(g) Have access to the internet or WIFI to enable access and participation with online learning activities and assessments.
Te Reo Māori
It is recommended to have a basic competency in Te Reo Māori
