The Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) commitment requirements

 

  • The PhD requires a significant time commitment from the candidates to undertake their research and writing in their own time. The plan for research and writing is negotiated on an individual basis between the candidate and their supervisor.
  • There are 4x 3-5 day wānanga/noho marae that students may attend in Whakatane as negotiated with their supervisor
  • Students also have the opportunity to engage in workshops and supervision zooms between wānanga.
