The Postgraduate Diploma in Mental Health and Addiction Counselling programme uses blended delivery with noho wānanga (face to face) supported by eWānanga (online learning) and work integrated learning.
The work integrated learning component requires that tauira successfully complete a minimum of 120 hours practicing as an Addictions practitioner under supervision.
Other planned learning activities include tutorials, expert panel discussions, case studies, online discussions, researching with whānau, hapū and iwi, and practice-based activities.
It is recommended that tauira allocate 30 – 35 learning hours per week.
