Lecturer – Wai Ora
Te Whare Wānanga o Awanuiārangi offers the highest standards of tertiary education from certificate to doctorate levels, including programmes for international scholars of indigenous studies. Our vision is to promote, grow and sustain Māori language, knowledge, and culture, according to tikanga Māori practice.
This is an exciting time to be part of Māori and indigenous scholarship, and our success relies on the excellence of our people and our connection to the communities that we serve.
We are seeking applications for a Lecturer – Wai Ora located in Whakatāne to provide Mataatua iwi, hapū and whanau with an opportunity to have the Certificate in Wai Ora level 3 and level 4 (6-month) programmes delivered in their rohe.

The 6-month programmes have intakes in February and July of each year. Delivery is mixed mode including classroom activities, water science practicums, tutorials, and eLearning, and Wānanga/marae based noho as well as completing student assessments and evaluation.
