Campus closures impacted by weather situation

Te Whare Wānanga o Awanuiārangi would like to extend our aroha to all of those impacted by the recent weather events across the different rohe. If you or your whānau have been affected and need our support, please reach out to us.

We want to encourage all of our kaimahi, tauira and providers to stay safe. To support this:

• The Tāmaki Makaurau and Whangarei campus will remain closed until at least next Tuesday 7 of February. We encourage all our kaimahi and tauira to stay home and not visit the campus or put yourselves at any risk. If you need support accessing anything, please contact your Kaiako.
  
• Classes scheduled to take place offsite next week, including at marae, may need to be rescheduled. Your kaiako will be in touch directly if this is relevant to you. Or if you have concerns, please flag them with your kaiako.
  
• Our Whakatāne campus is open, but we are encouraging Kaimahi to work from home where possible and ask that tauira stay off campus. Again, if you need support accessing anything, please contact your kaiako.  
• We also ask that all providers hold off visits to any of our campus sites that are not related to urgent work during this time.

More bad weather is forecast in the coming days, including a red alert for Northland, red and orange for different parts of Tāmaki Makaurau and the Coromandel, and now the Bay of Plenty and a yellow alert for the Waikato and other areas around the country.
